Hypocrisy
When Ann Coulter was interviewed by Matt Lauer, she spent her whole segment spewing hate out of the gin and tonic black hole that she calls a mouth. I posted the video clip on June 8th, two days after her appearance on the Today Show. The crown jewel in her tiara of hate, was that Democrats always use sympathy figures to their political advantage.
Her exact quote was: “This is the left’s doctrine of infallibility. If they have a point to make, about the 9/11 commission … about how to fight the war on terrorism … how about sending in someone we’re allowed to respond to. No … no … no … we always have to respond to someone who just had a family member die. Because then if we respond … oh you are questioning their authenticity."
The above picture is of George W. Bush with 11-year-old Lynn Faulkner. Lynn is the daughter of September 11 victim Wendy Faulkner, who died in the South tower of the World Trade Center.
This picture was turned into the most expensive television commercial of the 2004 presidential election, at a cost of $14.2 million. The 60-second spot was televised by Progress for America 30,000 times during the last two weeks of the 2004 campaign.
There is a major difference between being inaccurate and just plain malicious. Ann has the honor of being both.

Ann Coulter is a product of contentious polemics. She just likes to stir shit up and argue for argument's sake. I have to sympathize with some Canadian commentators: let's just ignore her. The best way to deal with a blithering airhead is just not to acknowledge her. The point you made about manipulation is dead-on. But - on a very tragic level - that is why the Republicans are so "successful" at the polls; they are willing to get to power by any means. But keep in mind, turning to the tired analogy with Nazi Germany, Hitler and his hencemen employed massive campaigns of dissimulation and simulation - lies about communist threats, lies about Jews undermining the strength of the pure Volk, and peddling mistruths about the superiority of the Aryans - to create grounds upon which they could achieve power. The Coulters of the world are just foot soldiers for a larger process of dissimulation - where lies become truth, if you argue hard enough.
The Calgary Flames are a cool team.
I always liked that Jersey.
The new away Jersey is kick ass.
As a Canadian, you will love this video.
I did remember seeing that clip on the CBC a few years ago. It was re-shown about a year ago too - prior to Fox News' debut as a specialty channel on Canadian digital cable. But before the re-broadcast, a clip of Ann Coulter calling CBC a "crazy left wing" news organization on one of Fox News' shows as part of the fallout of the interview - just to remind us where everyone stood on things. I guess revealing the ignorance of Ann Coulter is on the long list of "godless left wing" things she preaches against.
That's a telling post, Peter.
"America the Beautiful" --- guess that doesn't mean beautiful on the INSIDE where it COUNTS.
Her agenda is no different than Malkin's. They follow the Rovian theory of attacking the Dem's and progressives to a Tee...if it ain't broke..don't fix it. And sadly, for them, it hasn't broken down yet.
I really like how you look at things....
With Ann, it's fun to play 'spot the projection.' All the terrible things she says about the left are true... of herself, not of the left. 'Doctrine of infallibility'? Please. That has been Ann's game from day one.
"The best way to deal with a blithering airhead is just not to acknowledge her."
This drove Ayn Rand nuts.
"they are willing to get to power by any means."
They sure are. Election fraud is very effective.
Ann and the CBC. Ann, the left has a doctrine of Ann Coulter goddam idiot.
Catherine ... Did you sniff George Bush's armpit as well?
