In late May, District Judge Kristine Cecava of Cheyenne County sentenced Richard Thompson (Pictured below), on two counts of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl. He was given 10 years of probation by a judge who said the man was too small to survive prison.




Nebraska Attorney General Jon Bruning said he will appeal the decision.

News of this strange verdict has quickly spread across the country.

In the past several weeks, this bizarre judicial decision seems to have spawned a series of sex related crimes on the West Coast.

Many women in the California area are reporting attacks where they have been grabbed and fondled in a lewd manner.
