At a loss for words
At 8pm EST tonight I found out that my Uncle, Captain Robert M. Secher, was killed in Iraq.
Without a doubt, he was the finest man I have ever known.
He was strong and brave, but he was also honorable, kind and decent.
I can only say that I will miss him more than I can properly express in words at this time.
I don't think I have ever been as shocked and angry as I am right now.
I really don't want to say more than this.

Peter, my thoughts are with you and your family. I know how you feel about this already before this tragic event. I'm very sad to hear about this. *HUGS*
I was blog surfing and came across your post. My condolences. I am sorry for your loss and the loss of your family.
For you personally - my sincere condolences; the loss of a family member in any circumstances is a difficult cross to bear.
To the world at large - not all of us (I'm Australian) believe that we had a right to interfer in a country's strife when it was obvious we really didn't know how to truly help the people of that nation to achieve a peaceful solution.
My eyes are filled with tears...
:(
