Sunday August 20,2006 - John Mark Karr, the new suspect in the death of 6-year-old JonBenet Ramsey, made his way today to the United States via Thai Airways. Before takeoff, Karr took a glass of champagne from a flight attendant and clinked glasses with Boulder County investigator Mark Spray, who sipped orange juice.
Dinner on board, served on a white tablecloth with silverware, was one many passengers would envy. Karr started with a pate, and then had a green salad with walnut dressing. The main course was fried king prawn with steamed rice and broccoli, followed by a slice of Valrhona chocolate cake for desert. Karr drank a beer, crushing the can with his hands when it was empty, then moved on to a glass of French chardonnay with his main course.
As I read this story, I was so happy to hear our tax dollars continue to be spent well. It really made my Stouffer’s deluxe French bread pizza taste that much better. I think I am going to pour a glass of Pinot Noir.
Is it just me ...Or does anyone else find the thought of clinking glasses with a sex change wanting pedophile who strangles little girls somewhat unappetizing?

ok, several notes (and before i write them please know that i am NOT on karr's side.)
we don't know who paid for karr's trip, we don't know if he was bumped up to first class. let's not make suppositions.
second, that karr was the one who killed jonbenet is ridiculous. please, the guy is a mentally unstable pedophile and with no conception of reality.
finally, don't make any snide, or discriminatory remarks about people who decide upon sex re-assignment surgery. you can't equate it with the other crimes you're comparing it to because it's not a crime. and those who are transgendered aren't seeking to molest children any more than the average joe. (or jane...)
it's very common for many transgendered people go to foreign countries to receive the surgical care they could not afford in america.
i'm no fan of karr. i think he's a nutcase. i'd be shocked to find out that he killed jonbenet. in the end, i'd hazard a guess that his crimes remain at pedophelia and looking at child porn. while these are certainly vile offenses, they're far less serious than killing a six year old.
Given the way folks in jail reputedly take to those accused and or convicted of the stuff Karr's facing charges for, I'd not trade places with him for access to that meal. He can have the champagne and chocolate cake, since it all comes with a side order of death by prison violence.
actually, i'm watching larry king right now and they've talked all about his treatment during his extradition: they put him in business class to keep him away from families and children in coach.
i'm cool with my tax dollars going towards that, aren't you?
What about the baggage compartment?
