"You my dear, are the ugliest bitch of them all"
For those of you who don’t know about Michelle Malkin, here is a little background. She started her “career” 10 years ago as a columnist for the Los Angeles Daily News. From 1996-1999 she worked at the Seattle Times. She is currently a professional blogger and a regular Fox News Channel contributor. She now lives with her husband and two children in Maryland.
Michelle has many choice moments, but the one that stands out for me is an incident this past April.
Four military recruiters tried to set up information tables at a UC Santa Cruz job fair. Students outraged by this decided to peacefully protest this effort. They did a excellent job, and as a result hundreds of students showed up to protest this recruitment effort. Members of Students Against War (SAW), who organized the counter-recruiting protest, loudly chanted, "Don't come back. Don't come back" as the recruiters left the hilltop campus, escorted by several university police officers.
Michelle felt this was not fair, so in the interest of being fair, she decided to publish the cell phone numbers and E-mail addresses of the protest organizers on her blog. They remain there to this day. As a result, the kids in question have evidence to show they're getting death threats as a result of Malkin's actions.
Last time I checked this was a free country, and our right to peacefully protest is one of those rights you nasty little bitch.
Now … I have never believed that two wrongs make a right, so I will not publish her home address and phone number of this blog. However, there are always those who love that Old Testament and believe in an eye for an eye.
What I will put on my blog is an prime example of Michelle Malkin’s “investigative journalism”. In this clip she “catches Cindy Sheehan in a lie”. I love the way she interviews Cindy, and does not look at her. Keep in mind this clip is provided by michellemalkin.com, and conservatives claim it shows the reconstruction effort in Iraq and Cindy’s lies.
Please tell me if I am wrong, but their “reconstruction” video shows three things. Shot one is a dirt digger with one bucket of dirt. Shot two is a one-man steamroller badly filling in a ditch or crack in a road. The last shot shows a team of four guys pouring cement into a hole.
This girl would be dangerous if she had the slightest clue.
Here is another recent story which shows Michelle Malkin at her worst. (Thanks to Overwhelmed and Perplexed)
Some call Michelle “an attractive alternative” in the ranks of the conservative right wing. In my humble opinion, I wouldn’t fuck her with Cheney’s Dick and Don Rumsfeld pushing.

OOOHHHHH..nice roast of MM!! That bitch needs to see Alex and buy a clue..she shills for the right because she couldn't get a real journalist job..she isn't qualified..
I stayed on top of the whole bullshit hatchet job she did on the students..they did get even by giving her a taste of her own medicine. But, two wrongs don't make a right like you said.
Have a good holiday weekend :)
Haha, I wouldn't either.
Peter, you failed to mention that Malkin only published the contact information that was in the SAW press release. There is nothing in that blog entry that wasn't out there in public already.
I disagree with her a lot. There are also issues we agree on. However, Michelle is far from being a "bitch." She's likely one of the kindest people I've known.
Nicki
I have to disagree with you Nicki.
SAW took down that information because they knew they would be the targets of threats. That information is still TO THIS DAY on Michelle's blog.
She is:
-Self righteous (Too many to mention)
-Hypocritical (She wasn't happy when liberal bloggers listed her personal information and she whined that she had to move to another suburb)
-Misinformed (She parrots everything the right wing feeds her, only when she is not kissing ass)
Even conservative Keith Olbermann lists her as #3 on his "World's Worst List" on the planet.
Just look at the video clip I provided from her smear machine. She DARES to question the integrity of a woman who has lost her only son? What has Michelle sacrificed for this "war on terror"? Nothing ... like every other idiot who tell us about the necessity of this stupid war. If it is so important, they should go fight it. Those Marines that just killed those innocent Iraqis WERE ON THEIR THIRD DAMN TOUR. My Uncle has been there only four months so far, and the level of anger in his letters is palpable
When her children are of age, can we send them to war (because at this rate we will still will be) ... or will they be too good to fight and die like almost every other Republican? In fact Michelle is 35. She is fit and completely able to fight in a war she so firmly believes in. That way my Uncle can come home.
In my book she is second only to Coulter.
Actually, Peter, that information was out long after Michelle put it on her blog. Additionally, it was on their press releases. They are an organization, not a private individual. It's not like the information isn't available to the public. Meanwhile, publishing her private address for all to know is a bit different.
I work for the Second Amendment Foundation part time. Their address is available to anyone who wants it. There are a lot of people who disagree with our gun rights stance. And while they're free to find out the organization's info, I would be loath to say that they should also be allowed to publish the private addresses of those who work there, or myself, for that matter.
As for parroting everything the right-wing feeds her, I'd say that's patently untrue. She bashes Bush hard when he deserves it. Not hard enough, in my opinion, but again, as I said before, there are issues I disagree with her about.
As for Sheehan, Peter, I'm in the Army. I'm going away for a year and a half -- away from my family and my children -- to Kosovo, where we shouldn't be either. I sacrifice for this nation too. And I find Sheehan quite possibly the most appallingly disgusting human being ever created!
This is not about whether or not I agree with the war in Iraq. There are things we have done over there which are very positive, and there are HUGE mistakes that were made. But to use Casey Sheehan's death to further her political ends (she also screeched about "occupied New Orleans" as well, which is patently insane. I was there, I know the good we did over there.) is beyond disgusting.
There are plenty of protesters who are legitimately concerned for the safety of our troops and who support them, even if they don't support the actions the administration is taking over there. Sheehan is not one of those, in my opinion as a Soldier and as a human being.
Nicki
BTW - I like big dogs too. ;) I have a boxer and a black lab.
Again I disagree with you. I respect your right to have your opinion, but I highly disagree with you.
I would love you to show me just ONE example of Michelle Malkin bashing Bush.
I also disagree that Cindy Sheehan is getting a thrill over the attention she is getting. What political ends? She is not running for office. The woman has lost her husband because of this fight. I think she has aged at an alarming rate. Her face shows the wear. Bush could have met with her in Crawford, but he was too much of a coward. Is she being used by the left as a symbol … yes. Does that mean she lacks veracity … no.
My take on it is this. She has lost her son. I think she is trying to take her loss, and turn it into something good … something productive. I think she believes that her opposition to the war is constructive, and I agree with her. As you said yourself we don't belong there. Nicki ... almost 2500 men and women are dead. Over 18,000 don't have arms or legs or faces. Close to 100,000 will have mental problems that will follow them their whole life. As a soldier you should understand that. 2500 is not just a number. How well would your kids deal if you were one of the casualties?
If you are going to call New Orleans anything but an enormous failure, you are smoking something and I would like some. Katrina was a failure on the part of this administration, FEMA and the local officials. Most of all Bush dropped the ball as a leader, which he does time and again. He was warned of the danger there and he did nothing. Perhaps this was because all of our National Guard is all in Iraq. You know that is not their job.
I am glad to hear that you are not going to Iraq. Kosovo is a picnic by comparison. You will certainly be able to do your time and return in one piece physically and mentally.
Iraq is turning the Marines into animals. Good men who are turning bitter as they watch their friends die needlessly. Did you know that troops in Iraq are not allowed to fire unless they can ID the exact source of gunshots? This drives them NUTS.
If you think that country will be a true democracy, you are again smoking something. There will NEVER be a separation between church and state in any Middle East country. If you go there and come to that conclusion I will listen. Otherwise you are just watching too much Fox News. I have six letters from Iraq. The Marines know that when we leave, the house of cards will fall apart. They fight for one another and nothing else. Most of them hate the Iraqis. They think they are cowards and lazy. The Iraqi army openly admits they will drop out once the Americans leave. They will be killed otherwise.
Please don’t try to tell me hospitals/doctors and schools are springing up in Iraq. That is not happening except when it makes for a good photo op. That country is seriously on the verge of a civil war.
Afghanistan is in even worse shape, but the news is not addressing it yet. Wait for that to start making headlines.
Here is the "War on Terror"
-Bin Laden is Free
-Ayman al-Zawahri is free
-Mullah Omar is free. The guy has one eye Nicki. (We did manage to kill his innocent wife and child with a cruise missile)
-Abu Musab Al-Zarqawi is free
-The Taliban is reforming
Is this what you call a success? I was born in NYC on september 11th and that success rate is bullshit.
We obviously agree to disagree.
I sincerely wish you the best in Kosovo, and I hope your kids handle the separation well.
As for Michelle, I wouldn't piss on her head if her hair were on fire.
Black Labs are GREAT!
P.S.
They are INDIVIDUALS in an organization.
Their PERSONAL numbers were removed from public access when they started to get death threats. This was AFTER Michelle listed them on her blog. The threats came from her making them public to the nut cakes that read her blog. The honorable thing to do would have been to immediately take them down. She did not.
She deserves everything she gets and more. She is absolute slime.
Peter, it's quite obvious that we're not going to agree about Michelle. You are correct there. FTR - I did go back and searched on the info she published. It was nothing more than the SAW press release, which had the student info on it. But that's beside the point...
On New Orleans...
Peter, I was there. I was deployed as part of the National Guard in support of relief efforts in the wake of Katrina. We IN NO WAY, SHAPE OR FORM occupied New Orleans like Sheehan claimed. We delivered water, food and beds. We helped ensure that the evacuees were kept safe and secure. We accomplished a lot there. We were NOT an occupying force there, no matter what Sheehan says. Her hatred for Bush is so great, she's willing to even impugn the good work we did in New Orleans.
Yes, FEMA screwed the pooch there. But so did the Red Cross. I could tell you HORROR stories about what those bastards did over there! If there ever was an agency that needs an audit, it's the Red Cross. Having been there in person, I blame FEMA and I blame the Red Cross, and I blame that stupid bitch who is the governor of Louisiana, as well as their boneheaded mayor. It is thanks to them that many people died. I'm no fan of Bush, but the vast majority of the blame doesn' lie with him in this case, regardless of what Sheehan says.
And Peter, Sheehan was involved in far left politics long before Casey was killed. She had a political agenda long before he died. She didn't support him at all, but is now using his death to promote herself?? NO WAY!! I don't believe her for a single moment!
My parents vehemently disagree with the fact that we're still in Kosovo (and yes, thank Goddess I'm going there, and not the Sandbox), but they understand that I made a commitment, they understand that it's difficult enough for me to leave my family without them screeching how my mission is worthless. They simply support the fact that I made this choice and they support me.
Again, if you've read my blog, you'll see I'm no fan of Bush. I'm not Republican. I'm not Democrat. I'm not anyone you can pigeonhole into any kind of political philosophy. But I speak with my fellow Soldiers every day - Soldiers who have spent a year in Iraq and Afghanistan, and I know for a fact that 95 percent of those with whom I speak not only feel that they did do some good over there, but say they would volunteer to go back.
Yes, we have lost service members. Yes, we have kids who have lost limbs and worse. No one is denying that. But many of us feel the sacrifice is worth it, even if we don't like Bush.
A small child is available at the local pre-school. Throwing it into a pit of alligators is malicious.
HERE IS THE POINT NICKI: When Michelle put that information on her blog was malicious. It was intentional. She wanted upset people to call, and they did. They received not one, not two, but hundreds of death threats. Even after it was obvious that these KIDS were getting death threats she would not remove it. She still has not done so.
Michelle's personal information is also public. When the left did the same thing it became a serious problem for her, and she whined about it. That is a typical Republican reaction. It's fair, unless it has to do with them.
Michelle is an attack dog for the right. She attacked John Murtha when he suggested that Marines might have killed innocent people. Well ... it appears he was right.
John Murtha has access to information that no one has. He is still very close to the military and it's leaders. Murtha, as an ex soldier, is trying to point out the serious problems in the military right now. He has his finger on the pulse of more generals than almost anyone … including Rumsfeld. Perhaps those Marines shouldn’t have been there on a third tour. As a member of the army you know why a third tour in a violent (hopeless) area is a bad idea. I’m sure you also know why Marines are being forced to take these third tours of duty.
Michelle will attack absolutely anyone that opposes this war. If she is so concerned about this war, she should attack the Iraqis with her finely manicured fingernails.
If you say The Red Cross screwed up in New Orleans I believe you. However we have a presidential saying here in America. The buck stops at the president's desk. That is the burden of being the president. There was no plan before any group got there.
I appreciate the work you did in New Orleans. Thanks God someone did. I appreciate the sacrifice you will make going to Kosovo. Again, I sincerely wish you a safe trip.
P.S.
I will always be happy to see an example of Michelle Malkin truly bashing Bush.
Peter, don't you think that if these folks didn't want their private information out there, they shouldn't have posted it on a press release? And these aren't kids. They're college students, are they not? They're legal adults, responsible for their actions.
If they received death threats, that's reprehensible. Absolutely revolting! But the recruiters who were there also say they had their tires slashed. That's reprehensible as well.
And if you want to see some Bush bashing, read Michelle on immigration...
"If you say The Red Cross screwed up in New Orleans I believe you." -- Screwed up doesn't even begin to describe what we saw! We were attached to the 229th MP Company who had been to Iraq. The MPs told us that they've seen Iraqi prisoners of war treated better than these evacuees were by the Red Cross! I will be DAMNED if I ever give another penny to the Red Cross after what I've seen in Louisiana. One of these days, we'll have to write a story about that.
"However we have a presidential saying here in America. The buck stops at the president's desk. That is the burden of being the president. There was no plan before any group got there." -- I'd say in this case, the buck stops at the Governor's desk. The same governor who declined National Guard assistance -- who did not want us there -- until it was too late and the media started screeching about it. Then, all of a sudden, we had to deploy on 7 hours' notice.... UGH... long, ugly, complicated story. Anyway...
"I appreciate the work you did in New Orleans. Thanks God someone did. I appreciate the sacrifice you will make going to Kosovo. Again, I sincerely wish you a safe trip." -- I appreciate it. Thank you. I'll be able to blog some while I'm down there, albeit not as often. I'm hoping civil war does not break out while I'm there.
Nicki
Am I not writing this in English?
Michelle put that information on the blog for ONE PURPOSE AND ONE PURPOSE ONLY in mind. THERE IS NO DOUBT IN THAT. Everyone's information is available if you try hard enough. Give me some time and I can find out your personal information. I use my last name on this blog. I live in Manhattan and I am listed in the phone book. My information is out there. THERE IS MAJOR DIFFERENCE WHEN SOMEONE PUTS IT ON A BLOG AND TELLS PEOPLE TO CONTACT THEM. The students published that information early on so supporters could contact and join them.
Are you trying to defend her because you believe she was right to publish these phone numbers and E-mail addresses?
College students are still kids. They are impulsive and passionate. 18-21 is hardly an adult.
I have read Michelle's "work" on immigration. Michelle does not connect Bush to the immigration problem in this country in any way.
If you feel the Red Cross treated people badly in New Orleans, I really feel you should blog about it. There are many things you can do about it that go way beyond not giving them money.
We obviously violently disagree about Michelle. That will not change. I think that women like her and Ann Coulter are some of the worst people on this planet.
I really don't have time to play "Crossfire" today. It is a beautiful day out and I would like to enjoy what's left of it.
It is Memorial Day today. Today was meant to remember lost soldiers, not to debate about malicious women. I would like to spend today thinking about my Grandfather who I lost before I was born. He was a Lt. Col. in the 82nd Airborne, who died along side his men at the Battle of the Bulge. At very least that was a war that meant something.
If you doubt what I am saying about Afghanistan, turn on CNN and look at what is happening in Kabul right now.
Yes, you're right. We likely won't agree on this matter.
Brad (my best friend and Soldier in my unit) and I will probably blog about the whole Red Cross deal one day. We were so disgusted with it, neither one of us really thought about actually writing an article about it. Ever since we returned from New Orleans, we've been telling everyone we know about what we saw there. Perhaps we'll sit down one day and write it all down.
Happy Memorial Day, Peter. Enjoy your day. I will be grilling and playing with the doggies.
Nicki
BTW - She's damn mean to Bush in this Hot Air entry. Nothing complimentary about her stand here.
http://hotair.com/archives/vent/2006/05/15/no-amnesty-no-bull/
I love it when even the loyal right-wing pundits see Bush for what he is: a waste of skin.
Touche Nicki.
This is a good clip, and it certianly proves your immigration point. However, it does differ from statements I have read from her in the past.
I take back what I said.
I would indeed piss on Michelle Malkin if her hair was on fire.
Have a good Memorial Day.
anyone else exhuasted?
Anne,
If you actually made your way through all those comments you are completely nuts. I doubted my sanity just having that debate.
